It would be wonderful to be able to subscribe to specific events, sales, or updates related to downtown, and in turn, get text message updates at specific time periods before these things actually happen.

This would help keep everyone in the loop!

Just so this thread becomes an archive for people looking for the SMS system, would you please share how people can get subscribed to this? Do we need to text a specific thing to a specific phone number, or how does this work?

Chais Meyer: I was so excited that it was done that I forgot to mention how to opt in. Brent provided the text option above and I replied with a link to a web page. There's also a QR code. I'm working on a plan to promote this.
